In 1992, “The Gun in Betty Lou’s Handbag,” was filmed at several locations around Oxford which was called “Tettley” in the movie. In addition to locals serving as extras, the movies starred Alfre Woodard, Julianne Moore and had Penelope Ann Miller as Betty Lou.
